Man, I could so do with a holiday. This time last year, we were heading towards wintry New York, and boy did I have to brace myself for a long haul flight from Perth. Would you believe that the plane is the only place I have enough solitude and enough time to go and do a sketch?

I generally don’t do resolutions because I know it is making myself a promise that I find it hard to keep but this year, I will make it a point to draw more. Just because I forget to scan and post doesn’t mean that I do not indulge in sketching. Okay-okay, in most cases I don’t really have too much time to sit and draw. It makes me feel wasteful and I should be doing something productive.

Then I realise that I should not be so hard on myself. I’m never going to look back and reminisce about the time I spent at work because life’s moments are meant to be captured.

So I will leave hubby with the camera while I try to capture the world through my eyes.
